How Innerpreneurs are Changing the Business World
The term innerpreneur refers to a unique type of entrepreneur who works for himself but who is motivated more by internal factors than external ones. The traditional entrepreneur launches a business in order to grow that business and to make money. While the innerpreneur may also do that, the thing that drives this person isn’t the business itself but rather the desire to experience personal growth. Innerpreneurs are interested in improving the world around them. As they do that, they are changing the business world for the better.
Innerpreneurs are people who truly think outside of the proverbial box. Their goal is to create a lucrative business that allows them to engage in self-development while also doing something to improve their community. They identify opportunities in the world by looking at ways in which they can change society for the better while improving themselves as individuals and yet turning a profit in this kind of work. Innerpreneurs are positive-thinking go-getters and that’s exactly what we need in the business world today.
The world of business has really been wrecked recently by the recession. People are feeling very negative about the state of their jobs and the state of the surrounding economy. The number one feeling experienced in most job positions right now is fear. People are terrified that they are going to lose their jobs or see their hours get cut. Nobody is feeling excited about the future. This negative environment is stifling businesses and causing a lack of creativity throughout all industries.
Innerpreneurs are the people who can shake us out of this negative experience. These are people who take a look at the problems that the recession is causing and instead of reacting with fear they react with hope. These people believe that the world can be changed for the better. They believe that the negative circumstances surrounding the recession can be turned into a positive experience and that society can end up better off as a result of going through this time. And they have creative ideas in mind for how to make those changes happen.
As these people launch businesses of their own, we will see other types of businesses begin to bounce back. Innerpreneurs will inspire people to see things with a positive frame of mind. They will encourage newfound creativity in places of work that have gotten tired and old. These people are the ones that we should look towards as a model for how to operate our own businesses today because they work from a place where development of self and community ultimately lead to fulfillment as well as to profit. That’s the kind of life that most business people really want to be living.
